If you own a car, you have definitely come across the concept of VIN-code. This ID must be specified in all vehicle documentation, when applying for an insurance policy, when conducting inspections, buying some spare parts, and when searching for a stolen car.
VIN-code is a unique identifier of the vehicle, which contains basic information about the equipment, and the VIN is applied even during the manufacture of machines at the factory. If you buy a car by hand, you can easily check its history using this code.
You can VIN check for free via VinRush www.vinrush.com/
Where to find VIN
There is no single location for the code. you can find it in different places. However, all these places are usually the same. Most often, select the areas of the car that can not be seen without a detailed inspection of the car, so that the code can not be recognized by anyone.
You can find VIN in the following places:
driver's Side door stand
Driver's door threshold (more often on older models)
Under the hood
On the windshield
Inside the dashboard
In most cases, you should look for a metal plate (if the number is not on the glass).
